Nothing says “I love the TV show dexter’ more than an iPhone protective casing. What i really like about this is that it isn;t just some cool product or application. They branded the whole experience. From the time you purchase it (evidence file folder dripping in blood) to when you use it. They made the whole process an experience by bringing you into Dexter’s world



The story that takes 1,000 years to read

I was thinking of going with a ‘reading material for the bathroom when you have to drop a huge duece’ or something like that but I felt I do too many poo jokes. Yeah i know, you can never do too many poo jokes.

The recently published Infinity issue of Opium Magazine has a nine-word story printed on the cover that will take 1,000 years to read.

The cover is printed in a double layer of standard black ink, with an incrementally screened overlay masking the nine words. Exposed over time to ultraviolet light, the words will be appear at different rates, supposedly one per century.

To promote the Sandisk 4GB camera flash card, Jupiter Drawing Room in Johannesburg, South Africa used giant envelopes to show the benefit of how much data/info it can hold. I find the stunt a little expected (placing the product on a larger container to show it’s storage capacity – it’s been done) but still an effective way to communicate the benefit and help get the message out there by turning customers into walking billboards


What do you do when your team goes 0-16?

Get a new logo of course.

And by ‘new’ we mean exactly the same as the last one.

The classic Honolulu blue, white and black colors remain unchanged.

Detroit Lions unveiled their new comprehensive brand that includes a new logo and new uniforms. Apparently they had made several ‘significant’ changes in the off-season and new brand identity is another element of that process.

They also introduced a new proprietary font, “NFL Lions.”


Chocolate milk the sports drink?

So the people at Milk have decided to market chocolate milk as a sport drink ‘helping you make your next workout the best one yet’ Interesting approach. Definitely didn’t see this one coming. Sure most sports drink seem to be vile but milk as a sports drink? not too sure about that.

On top of the new commercial, they have a website filled with information about why chocolate milk is good for you as a post work out drink.


Then even have a new logo that kinda looks like gatorade went to the prom with milk, got milk pregnant and then 9 months later they gave birth to this.


This is a tough one for me. I always saw chocolate milk as one of those products that would never steer away from the whole ‘kids love it’ kinda approach. In fact, I don’t know if I want it to steer away from that. It’s a kids drink (or kid at heart drink) to me and part of me doesn’t want to see that change. It will be interesting to see how it will work out for them. Maybe it will become the new sports drink, or maybe you just won’t feel bad when you drink chocolate after a workout.

How much does the design of a juice box affect sales. well if your tropicana, it effects you a lot. In the month and a half after the redesign of their packaging, sales of Tropicana’s Pure Premium orange juice dropped 20%.
